Closing the Gap BetweenGuidelines and Practice

DR COMPASS® is a guideline-driven clinical decision-support system that delivers transparent, rule-based treatment recommendations, helping primary care clinicians prescribe in line with national guidelines and KDIGO guidance.

Health promotion

DEPTH · Detect Early, Prevent The Harm

Four campaigns built around paired tests that belong together.

Campaign 1/5

Detect Early, Prevent The Harm.

One test isn't enough: use both, see the whole picture

The platform

Transparent logic. Trusted outcomes.

Built for clinicians who need to defend every decision and for commissioners who need every pathway evidenced.

Deterministic logic

Rule engine

Every recommendation traces back to an explicit rule. Rule-based, not AI-driven: no black boxes, full transparency and clinician control.

Guideline-concordant

National guidelines

Built directly on national clinical guidelines. When guidance updates, the rule set is reviewed and versioned, so your team always practises to current standards.

Designed for clinical workflows

Primary care

Fits primary care workflows: structured clinical assessment, evidence-based guidance, and actionable recommendations that support clinicians at the point of decision-making.

Clinically auditable

Governance

Every decision is logged with the guideline source, rule version and clinician decision, supporting audit, quality assurance and governance.

See the logic

From patient data to clinician decision.

Evidence-guided recommendations, clinician-led decisions. Every step in the DR COMPASS® pathway is transparent and recorded.

  1. Coded problems, recent results and current medication are organised into a structured clinical picture before any assessment begins.

This is not medical advice. This illustrates how DR COMPASS® works and supports, but does not replace, clinician judgement.

DR COMPASS in practice

Integrated workflows.

Average time to relevant recommendation: less than 1 second. DR COMPASS integrates into clinical workflows across different deployment models, from individual surgeries to ICB-wide systems.

  1. Stage 1

    Clinical data

  2. Stage 2

    DR COMPASS review

  3. Stage 3

    Clinician decision

  4. Final step

    Audit & documentation

Stage 2

DR COMPASS review

In under a second, DR COMPASS evaluates the patient against guidelines and generates evidence-based recommendations.

Confidence

Prescribe with confidence.

The everyday anxieties of primary care, and how DR COMPASS answers each one.

    • Before any recommendation, DR COMPASS checks every prescription against:
    • Active medical conditions and past medical history
    • Current laboratory results including renal function and creatinine clearance
    • Known allergies and intolerances
    • Current medications and interactions

If any conflict is detected, the recommendation adjusts or the conflict is surfaced for clinician review. Nothing is prescribed automatically, and the clinical responsibility remains with the prescribing clinician.

Regulatory compliance

Governance-ready by design.

Every DR COMPASS® recommendation is timestamped and recorded with the guideline that informed it and the clinician's decision to accept, modify or override it, so every decision stays traceable for governance and quality review.

Clinician accountability and professional governance

Quality assurance and audit readiness, supported by our electronic Quality Management System (eQMS)

GDPR compliant, hosted on Microsoft Azure UK infrastructure

Working towards NHS DSPT and medical device standards (DCB0129, ISO 13485, IEC 62304)

ICB-wide and surgery-level governance frameworks

Decisions that stay justifiable, traceable and documented at any scale
